I don't know everything for detail, but one of my favorite rappers of all time has been locked up since October! That's right, Houston's own Scarface has been in prison after getting his with some federal child support charges. At least, that's what I'm hearing. Word is, they locked him up with no bail and Face got a lot of kids out there to take care of. First Willie D gets locked up over some phone fraud, now this! Good luck Face! The game definitely needs you!

Now besides Flex havin' some of the best car shows in the world and spinning records, he usually keeps a nice herd of young women around him as well. As far as this 40 year old goes, I don't know about that. He was released on a $500 bail. This topic should go away in less than a week.

I'm tellin' ya! The Hip Hop Cops are not playing! Dipset member Juelz Santana was recently arrested on several gun and drug charges. He posted a bail of $125,000. The police found all kinds of guns and weed in his studio, and in fact, said it was part of a two-month investigation. In other words, they let Santana do his thing until they built up enough evidence. Of course tha homie is saying that it wasn't him and people go in and out of his studio all times. But if police have been investigating this for a couple of months and has some CAMERA footage, that would be the key thing that would bust Santana. It's National Signing Day: High School Signees, Please Don't Back Out of Your Commitments Because You're Afraid to Compete!

Today is the first official signing day for high school players to make the next big step in their lives. Some of this may be exciting for the average recruit. Other players that are considered nationally ranked and have five to 10 colleges breathing down their backs for a decision, can be a little more difficult to cope with. 



My brother and I were speaking on the phone earlier about how a lot of these high school recruits, compared to when we were being recruited 11 years ago by colleges to play football, have changed. The rules haven't changed, but the pressure it puts on a future college player has definitely increased over the years. As a future college player, I had to think about my family, education, distance and coaches while making my decision....and not in that particular order. I believe that a young recruit thinks the same as well. However, the biggest difference I see in today's recruits is their activities as a youth in their elementary and middle school days. In my era of that particular time, whether rain, sunshine, hot or cold weather, my friends and I were outside playing football, basketball and baseball in the street, or any empty lot or field we could find. 




We all didn't go to the same schools are play on the same little league teams, but that's what made it so competitive. You always had the big kid on the block who had skills in everything they did. Then you would have your average player, who may have been good at only certain skills, like running, shooting, throwing, catching, etc. And of course, you had that sorry one in the bunch who no one would pick up, or would always be chosen last. Most of these guys I knew who continued on throughout their high school careers and stayed out of trouble, would be the ones who would go on to play at the collegiate level. And when these players would reach the collegiate level, there was no such thing as backing out of a commitment to a college, or being afraid of a little friendly competition. Sports is supposed to be competitive, right? Well, if that's so, why are we having so many future college players backing out of their commitments as soon as they hear about another recruit that plays the same position they do, sign to the same college. My college and athletic days are gone, but when we entered college, competition was NOT a factor. Nowadays, I believe it plays a huge part in a recruits decision. Take for instance, Louisville high school quarterback DaMarcus Smith. He committed to the University of Louisville right around the time U of L hired their football coach Charlie Strong. He even attempted to enroll in U of L early so he could get started with practice and begin learning the plays. However, all things changed when Strong and his coaching staff sought out another high school quarterback from Florida and got a commitment out of him. This changed everything for Smith, who begin to start looking at other colleges, will wait until Friday to make his announcement. Just as this kid gave a commitment to U of L, why can't he make a commitment to compete. In my opinion, this kid probably thought that he lost his chance of being a starting quarterback when he heard about the other recruit. I know you want to put yourself in the best position and where you can get the best opportunity to play, but doesn't this also sound like someone being afraid of a little competition? I'm not singling Smith out, nor am I saying that that's his case. But I also feel that we can't deny the fact of players looking for the easier route out, instead of sticking to their commitments and competing against some competition, which could potentially make themselves better. So instead, they go elsewhere to an average college who says they can start immediately if they sign with them. I'm not blaming the recruits, or their families who alter their decision of choice at the last minute. But I do question that recruits, toughness and competitiveness. Why? Here's a few answers:




As I mentioned before, my friends and I couldn't wait until after elementary and our middle school days to play football, basketball and baseball outside. Yeah we had our Nintendo, Sega Genesis, X-Box and X-Box 360, Playstation 1, 2, and 3. But we also had a social life outside of the house. From elementary to middle schools, our youth today uses these systems in place of friends, social lives, and also in place of going out and becoming active. For instance, instead of actually playing little league league football, parents will go out and purchase John Madden. Or instead of playing little league basketball, parents will go out and purchase NBA2K11.





Now I'm not saying that I'm not a game fanatic. But lets lay the truth where the facts lie at. Our modern technology of video games has decreased our youths in participating in actual sports activities themselves. So fast forward to when they get in high school, because of the fact that the only competition they really faced was on a television screen, when they commit to a college, it can be easily backed out of because of COMPETITION. A game teaches you how to compete against a computer. But in the game of real life, it teaches you how to compete against others that are on an equal basis or just as good as you are. How do you think we become better? Because of the person that's in, or WAS in front of us leading the pack. I wish nothing but the best to the recruiting class of 2011. But I also wish there wasn't so many changes in commitments because of competition.

If you try typing in the Worldstarhiphop website's URL, all you get is "Problem loading page." Why? Because for some reason, the site shut down earlier this afternoon. Funny thing is, 50 Cent said it was because of him! I didn't know this, but back in 2009, 50 had filed a lawsuit against the website, claiming that it was using incorrect information and tarnishing his image. Worldstar has been the "black" version of youtube for thousands of young and old people. Late last year, the website won an award at the BET Hip Hop Award Show for best blog site. There has to be more information being leaked out on this one...stay tuned!

WOMAN REUNITES WITH HER MOTHER 23 YEARS LATER AFTER SHE REALIZED SHE WAS KIDNAPPED AS A CHILD



This is another reason why I think the world is coming to an end. A woman (Carlina White) in Harlem solved her own case after realizing that she had been kidnapped from her mother as a baby. She asked her alleged mother for her birth certificate and she could not provide one. That's when the woman took matters into her own hands. Now this would be an excellent story for Oprah to pick up, but knowing Oprah, I doubt if she will. I guess Dr. Phil had beat her to the homeless guy with the radio voice. It's official! After about a year of label situations, rumors and amongst other things, Eminem's Shady Records have finally made it happen! That's right! Slaughterhouse AND Yelawolf are Shady Records' new artists. They will also grace the cover the the next issue of XXL Magazine. With Young Money and G.O.O.D. Music having success and impressive lineups, I think Shady Records will fit in very nice. What some people might not understand is, Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf have literally killed the underground scene for quite sometime and have a pretty big fan base. But with national attention they're about to get, sky's the limit. I wonder what's up with D12 though?

Ted headed back to rehab? Thanks partly to the media!



Remember this guy? Homeless man who became an overnight sensation after several people caught the youtube video of his "Golden Voice?" Well according to Dr. Phil, Ted Williams is headed to rehab. Honestly, I know this man needs help. But I blame the media for this. After every media outlet saw the youtube video, they went crazy! Within a couple of days, the Cleveland Cavaliers were said to have offered him a job, then came several talk shows, and then came the dirt! What I mean by dirt is, the media exploited his past showing several mugshots of him and his troubled past. Hell! They even interviewed his ex-wife and mother! Well shortly after Ted's 15-minutes of fame, he got arrested again after he allegedly assaulted his daughter. His daughter claimed that he purchased bottles of Grey Goose every night, including wine and beer as well. He was said to be arrested shortly after that. I hate to say it people, but in case you didn't know, the man was HOMELESS! How can you really expect for him to act. Instead of helping him to a rehab, talk shows and other media outlets were just anxious to get a story about him. But now that you exploit his past, you want to get him help. We are so backwards in this world!

Now the point I'm tryna make with these two photos are the following: None of these artists are being signed to Young Money! I'm really gettin' sick of seeing rumors and hip hop websites leading people in the wrong direction. Lets start with T-Pain first: If you can remember, Akon signed him to Convict Muzik. Then after he became a success, he launched his own label, Nappy Boy Records, and eventually signed his own artists. Now tell me, why in the hell would he want to sign to Young Money when he has his own record label! Terrance and Rosci are at fault for this Tom Foolery too. They made an announcement on 106&Park, claiming that T-Pain was getting a Nappy Boy/Young Money chain made. Oh and don't let me start with Joe Budden. First of all, he and his other group members are still fighting to get the deal with Shady Records (Eminem's label) done, which is about 80 percent. Although their deal might last as long as Dr. Dre's anticipated Detox album. Second, a lot of true Joe Budden fans would consider that as a "sell out" move because that's not in his character. Wake up people!

Precious got a man, at home! (Shante Moore's voice)




Man! I know his left thigh was hurtin' by the end of the first quarter! Don't know dude's name, but he is said to be Precious' new man (didn't know she had an old one). And I have to get out of the habit of callin' her "Precious" but her and Mo'Nique and Tyler Perry started it with that damn movie. My apologies, Gabourey Sidibe. RANDOM: Can you believe her mother almost won on America's Got Talent? Just sayin'.

Not that I expect anyone to really know what I'm talking about, because there really hasn't been that much coverage of it (wonder why). The young lady pictured above this is Phylicia Barnes. She has been missing for almost three weeks after taking a trip to see relatives in Baltimore. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper reported that more than 100 detectives, FBI and other police force have been assigned to the missing teen's case. She was last seen Dec. 28 at her half-sisters apartment in Baltimore. I know we have some crazy stuff going on in the world today, but somehow, this case has fallen underneath all of that somehow. I will admit, I have been a lil' harsh with 50 Cent in the past because of his declining music and sales. But I have been very impressed with him business-wise. Homie has his own film production company, just started another G-Unit record label for pop artists, and sponsoring his new wireless headphones. But his latest venture has caused his stock to soar. 50 promoted a stock on twitter to his 3.8 million fans and it caused it to rise 240 percent. Like 50 said, "Hate It or Love It."

Omarion says, "I'm not Bi-Sexual"


I don't know what this guy has been on lately. He's been fairly quiet, until now. Twitter went crazy after seeing an alleged comment that O made about him being "bi-sexual." I believe he even called in a radio show as well. Here is the alleged statement:

“I pride myself in being an honest, God Fearing, respectful man. I have kept my personal life private and wanted to keep it that way. Unfortunately, other’s are interested in profiting from my anguish; so before they can do that, i will clarify things. I am not at all what certain ex-band members are trying to paint me as, I am however a respectable, mature, proud, bisexual man.”


Man, these B2K boy's are a trip. But have you noticed aside from Omarion and Raz B that the other two have relatively remained quiet and have stayed away from this Tom Foolery? Hmmm?

A Milli A Milli A Milli A Milli!


I tweeted the homie Mike Epps up about this "A Milli" issue and he didn't tweet back (wonder why). Well! Homie was been hit with a $1 million lawsuit from the cameraman that took an ass beating by Mike in Detroit after not wanting the paps around while trying to have some alone time with his wife. Hey, we're only human, so I ain't mad at Mike. More than likely, I don't think cameraman is going to see anything close to a milli. Stay tuned for this one!

Wiz and Amber? 



Don't know what to believe, but I sure as hell don't blame the homie if he smashed. Paps  caught Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose walking pretty close together, both with hoodies on! Now you know if you don't wanna be seen in public, you gonna have a hoodie on and walk with your face down. That's exactly what these two were doing. Oh Just Stop Denying Boi!


These two actually look good together. But I got a feelin' Terrance J is gonna play this one like Nelly and Ashanti have been playing for years, DENIAL! Terrance was recently on Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show and he tried as best as he could to promote The Game (show on BET) that he will be making regular appearances on, but Big Boi and his crew wouldn't let him off the hook. C'Mon Terrance! 106&Park won't mind. And Brandy has been dreaming about having a man again for years. Be proud son!

Jermaine Jackson and his hair is stuck in Africa!


If you didn't know already, Jermaine "I like to be like Mike" Jackson owes MAD child support ($91,000), and he can't afford to pay it. But he must have some loot stashed away because homie has been chillin' in West Africa. But word is, he can't get back to the U.S. because his passport expired on him and the FBI has refused to renew him a passport. Jermaine, if you can hear my voice from Africa, "What's up wit' dat!?!"

Congrats to tha homie Bun B!


Congrats are in order the the legendary Bun B. Homie just finished his first class at Rice University that he's teaching, "Religion & Hip Hop."  Yo, I know this class was filled in less than 10 minutes when students were able to sign up. Keep up the good work Bun!
