Not so much known for selling good albums these days, but better known for feuding with other rappers and making "straight to DVD" movies, Fifth went in on Fat Joe, who just released his album entitled, "The Darkside." Good luck Joe!
Nicki is winning! Hate it or Luv it!
With no album out yet, she has been racking up awards and filling arenas during her concerts. To top it off, MTV has nominated Miss Minaj for Best New Artist for 2010 at the VMA's. She announced on ustream yesterday that her album will be titled, "Pink Friday," and has a release date for Nov. 23. Good luck Lil Kim!

Remember when 50 revealed his conversation between him and Young Buck to the world....AND..we got a chance to hear Buck cry? Well we won't be able to this time, but only if I were a fly on the wall, I would have loved to see this dudes face when the feds raided his crib over a past $300,000 tax bill. The weeping Buck claims the feds seized his jewelry, platinum plaques and recording equipment. I mean, I really like Buck and feels like once 50 gets over his power trip and lets him free of his contract, he's got the potential to come out of this. But in the meantime, handle them bills Buck!
Eminem and Lady Gaga rack up 8 VMA nominations, that's a good look. Even for the weird chick that everybody seems to love her music.

F.L.Y. Recipes

First up on the menu is one of my all time favorites! Southern Fried Catfish! Recipe provided by www.chitterlings.com
Ingredients:

Enough catfish fillets for 3 or 4 medium
pieces per person.
1 cup Yellow Corn Meal (This should be enough
to coat the catfish fillets)
2 teaspoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
Crisco or your favorite vegetable cooking oil.
(Enough to cover the catfish).

(I use a deep fryer although a frying pan will
work just as well)


The secret to fried catfish is cooking
it at just the right temperature to
seal in the moisture and flavor. When
you first drop it into the grease you
want to seal it and then cook it.

You can use fresh catfish fillets, or
you can use the farm raised variety
available in the supermarket freezer section.


Rinse the fillets thoroughly and then
pat dry with a paper towel. If using fresh
catfish, skin the catfish and then wash
thoroughly. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Roll the fresh, catfish fillets in
a mixture of corn meal and Lawry's
Seasoned Salt. If you cannot find
Lawry's Seasoned Salt, then your favorite
seasoned salt will have to do. It's
just that Lawry's Seasoned Salt is a
southern favorite. A quick way to coat
the fish in the corn meal and season
mixture is to place it in a plastic bag
and just shake it.

Drop into deep fryer at 325 degrees.
Fry until it turns golden brown, about
5 minutes. Dump onto paper towel and
allow to drain.

Serve with collard greens, macaroni
and cheese, cole slaw and hush puppies.

Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
